Falling in love with Graphic Design has been a wonderful and exciting journey, but a journey that I am not ready to end so soon. Taking Intro classes to design has made my hunger for the craft grow tremendously. So tremendously that it’s impossible for me to look at the world in the same way ever again. Ultimately deeming it my “first love” I am excited to continue on this journey, learning as much as my mind can consume.

Being that there are so many different aspects of Graphic Design I feel that print and layout design is most suitable for me. I am guilty of judging a book by its cover, I plaster album covers and posters on my walls, and my monthly subscriptions of magazines have no chance at staying intact. I have these visions of my name next to the title Creative Art Director, and the cover of my magazine on newsstands, oh and don’t let me forget seeing the stack of an artist’s album with my designs on it while I’m shopping at Best Buy. As William Blake once said, “My business is to create.” All I’ve ever wanted to do was to put my stamp on the world and leave knowing that in some way I made this place better. Being creative, I think will allow me to do that, especially if I have the help of The Art Institute of California - San Francisco.

With The Art Institute’s help I know that I will acquire the best education for the field of work I want to pursue. With the up-to-date technological knowledge and hands on experience I attain I will be able to better help my clients as well as the company I work for. Although education is a major aspect of being successful, motivation and determination play large roles as well. Having these character traits instilled and planted in me at a young age has allowed me to grow into the confident and ambitious person I am today. Life is what you make it and I plan to approach my education with the same zeal, because my career is what I make it.
